5 Ways to Make Playing in Wet Weather Conditions More Enjoyable

Rain shouldn’t stop you from golfing or hamper your normal ability to play a round or two unless it’s a downpour or a thunderstorm. If it’s just a little rain, you can easily visit the best golf course in Las Vegas and play a round or two at DragonRidge Country Club. We’ll give you seven top tips to help you golf in the rain at any golf course in Las Vegas you choose.

1. Spikes and Grips

In golf, your two key contact points are your club and the ground. If either isn’t 100% solid, your golf game will suffer. Before you start playing a round in the rain, take time to replace your spikes and grips. This will ensure you get excellent traction while you are playing in any condition.

2. Dry Towels

Making a good golf swing with a wet grip is next to impossible, so it’s a good idea to have a dry towel on hand to keep your grips dry. You can hang them from underneath your umbrella or put them in your golf bag. Give your grips a quick swipe to dry them before you hit.

3. Gloves

It’s very easy to go through more than one glove while playing in the rain, so it’s a good idea to always have at least one backup stashed in your bag. Another option is to invest in a pair of rain gloves that have wet weather gripping capabilities.

4.Golf Umbrella

You want to have a golf umbrella that will withstand those wind gusts without turning inside out. It should be large enough to cover you and part of your bag, so your clubs don’t get wet.

5. Invest in Waterproof Golf Gear

It’s a good idea to invest in waterproof golf gear if you’re going to be an all-weather golfer. You should consider getting waterproof shoes, gortex rain suit, and rain gloves. This will help if you get caught in wet conditions during your round.
